The Challenge
Goolburri have grown into a vital community-controlled organisation delivering holistic health, wellbeing and support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and families throughout the Darling Downs, South-West and regional Queensland. However, their existing digital presence wasn’t reflecting the breadth, depth and cultural significance of their programs. Key information was buried and hard to find and the UI was in need of a fresh, modern face lift. Community members, partners and referral agencies needed a site that was welcoming, easy to navigate and genuinely representative of Goolburri’s values and mission. The brief was to reimagine the website with a clear focus on usability, accessibility and cultural connection, all while consolidating a wide range of programs and resources into a unified, user friendly platform.
The Solution
We delivered a purpose built WordPress website that truly stands behind Goolburri’s commitment to community wellbeing. Working closely with their team, we designed a flexible and intuitive site architecture that makes it effortless for visitors to discover services, access support and learn about impactful programs. The new site places people and community at the centre with clear pathways to key program areas, improved wayfinding across service categories, and rich storytelling through images and a dedicated community gallery. Every content element, from service descriptions to locations and contact options, was structured to be culturally respectful, accessible and straightforward. Behind the scenes, the WordPress build gives Goolburri full control over content management, enabling them to update programs, events and resources with confidence well into the future.
